MIAMI, Fla. (January 2, 2019) —
Sources said Miami has been working to sign Argentinian striker Sebastian Driussi from Zenit St. Petersburg, but as of last word they have not been able to get that deal over the line.
Driussi can play as a forward or as a winger, and Miami is saving the bulk of its targeted allocation money for key signings. They have two open designated player slots and five international slots currently unfilled.
Driussi joined Zenit from Club Atlético River Plate on a $17 million transfer. He scored 16 goals with 14 assists for Zenit since joining the Russian top flight club.
