MIAMI, Fla. (July 31, 2020) — FC Barcelona striker Luis Suarez has an offer to leave the club for the MLS, according to a report.
The 33-year old Uruguayan is nearing the end of his career, so a move to a less-demanding league and a place where he can still be a big star might be in the works.
Fellow countryman and Seattle Sounder player Nicolás Lodeiro says, “he (Suárez) wants to come to MLS. Luis always asks me about the league. His dream was to play for Barcelona. He is playing at a great level and he feels comfortable there,” the La Celeste star said.
Suárez is reported to be curious about MLS, asking a lot of questions. According to Mundo Deportivo, a concrete proposal put forward to Suarez has not come from the Emerald City made globally-famous by grunge and Frasier, but from Vice City.
After making history by becoming the first MLS team to lose its first five games of its existence, David Beckham’s Inter Miami are in need of reinforcements.
