Club to receive this amount from LaLiga for relegation payout.

MIAMI (13 July 2020) — Club Deportivo Leganés now know how much money it will receive to help them after relegation from LaLiga Santander. The club from the southern part of the Madrid metropolitan area will be paid a total of €15 million in four installments throughout the automn of 2020.
Relegation aid
The three teams that have been relegated from the top to LaLiga Smartbank, the second tier, receive assistance payments, to help offset the reduced revenue from broadcast rights. Spanish media outlet Marca reported on the 15 million euros figure.
La Liga spreads out the relegation aid money, rather than paying it out before the new season begins. Thus, Leganés will four equal installments of €3.75 million in September, October, November, and December.
Los Pepineros look to be in good financial shape in order to face the challenge of fighting for a quick return to the top division. The club also received money from the sales of Youssef En-Nesyri and Martin Braithwaite, and are one of the richest in the Segunda.
