FC Barcelona elections this Sunday

More than 87,000 members are called to cast their vote in person this Sunday, March 7, 2021 at various locations

BARCELONA (March 3, 2021)


A total of 87,479 members representing 79,3% of the electorate of FC Barcelona are being called to vote in person this Sunday in the club’s preseidential election. Barcelona is a multi-sport club owned by its 110,290 members, known as “socios.” Members are allowed to vote on the President and his Board of Directors, who oversee the operations of the various sports teams that make up FC Barcelona.

The cadidates for the presidency are Joan LaPorta, Antoni Freixa and Victor Font.

Fidels al Barça is a candidacy for the people, for the members who want a club free of outside interests; members who always go to matches, supporters’ groups, members on the waiting list without season tickets, Officials Supporters’ Club members and Senators, you are one of us. We want to assure you that the club will always be for the members with a proposal for financial recovery without the need for external capital or third parties that could convert the club into a PLC. We will set record levels of income without sacrificing the blaugrana style of play, by filling the stadium with Barça fans not tourists. a social proposal that will reward the loyal Barça fan and an Espai Barça that will come about without compromising the club. We are a project dedicated to broad change which has it beginnings in 2013 and looks to find a winning path at the historic crossroads at which we find ourselves. Today we can say we have that project and the most experienced and capable team to make it happen. The majority of teh members who are able to vote in person are located n the province of Barcelona (78,987), followed by Girona (3.707), Tarragona (2.200), Lleida (1.264), Andorra (705) and Tortosa (616). The remaining 22,811 members have already cast their vote by mail.

The club has already informed members of the voting sites as well as the hours, along with the documentation they need to bring and the applicable Covid-19 protocols that must be respected.
